Sarah Sweedler is CEO of Fort Ross Conservancy, a California nonprofit and California cooperating association. Her organization stewards public lands at Fort Ross and Salt Point State Parks with emphasis on implementing sound land management practices, ensuring historic preservation, providing outdoor educational opportunities, and promoting these international parks to the widest audiences.Prior to transitioning to nonprofit work, Sarah founded and ran Chapter and Verse, a high tech consulting company providing technical writing services to Fortune 500 companies. She has twenty-plus years working as a manager, editor, writer (grants and journalism), and reporter, all skills useful in running an international nonprofit.
